Nothing cookin' on Callaspo-Ellis swap

There's been a rumor around that the Royals might be looking at swapping second baseman Alberto Callaspo to the Dodgers for Minor League catcher A.J. Ellis. However, there's no substantiation at all to that yarn.

Sure, the Royals might have Callaspo, despite his .300 average, on the market now  with Chris Getz on board. But we're hearing that nothing on a Callaspo-Ellis deal has been discussed.

Callaspo, by the way, is something of a bargain this offseason because he didn't qualify for arbitration under the "super-2" provision.
