Nationals not expected to sign major free agents

It appears the Nationals will not sign any major free agents this offseason. According to a baseball source, they will concentrate on their Minor League system and try to trade for young players.

Recently, the Nationals were trying to sign free agents Milton Bradley, Adam Dunn and Orlando Hudson, but Bradley signed a three-year deal with the Cubs on Thursday and Dunn and Hudson are asking for too much money. Dunn has been linked to the Dodgers, while the Mets are reportedly after Hudson.

It is hard for fans when the team comes out and says they aren't going after any big time free agents. I'm feeling for you Nationals fans right now.

How does a team go from offering all that money to Tex to saying we arent signing any1 now?? Dont get me wrong im not a nationals fan at all and think it great they arent getting any1 it just baffels me but then again maybe that is what my team the Braves are doing just not being so upfront about it haha!!

If the Nationals don't spend some of that that revenue sharing money. then they should return it to the Yankees!

If Cabrera is the best you can do this year is done! I tired of paying my money to see a team that is not even competative. One person I sit with has already dropped his tickets for this year and another is on the verge. These are diehard fans of the game. This just makes there points more valid that the Texiera knew this team would not pay to biuld around him. Looks like he made the right move. My next concern is that Stan Kasten may get tired of this and roll.
