Sabathia 'a possibility' for Colletti

Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti said it's "a possibility" the Dodgers could enter the mix for free agent left-hander CC Sabathia, who has yet to accept the Yankees' offer of six years and $140 million.

The Dodgers are unlikely to go anywhere near that package for the native Californian, who told Colletti he "wants to be a Dodger" in a chance meeting Sunday night, when Sabathia came to the Winter Meetings to meet with Yankees brass.

Colletti said he also would welcome back free agent outfielder Manny Ramirez, but is curious why the outfielder never responded to the Dodgers' two-year offer of $45 million plus an option year, or their offer for arbitration.-- Ken Gurnick
