Weathers moving on

Reds free agent reliever David Weathers hasn't recieived an offer from the club yet. Disappointed, he is moving on and "flipping the page" to look at other alternatives.

"If they want me, they'd have made an effort by now, which hasn't happened," Weathers said. "I've been in the game long enough to know when to turn the page. It seems to be about that time."

Reds general manager Walt Jocketty said the club is still interested in retaining Weathers.

If the Reds can't bring Weathers back, they might have to look for a veteran for the late innings. Jared Burton is young but solid as an eighth-inning set-up guy.
