Schilling could be in the mix

For those teams who don't find what they're looking for on the pitching market this winter -- or those who have injuries early in the 2009 season -- Curt Schilling could turn into an appealing option.

The 216-game winner, speaking at a charity event in Boston on Thursday night, sounded far more open to pitching in 2009 than he did back in August, when he said he was leaning "heavily" toward retirement.

The 42-year-old Schilling, if he pitches, envisions pitching a half-season like Roger Clemens did in the latter years of his career. Coming off surgery in June, Schilling, a free agent, said his right shoulder and biceps are pain-free.

More power to ya Curt. Hopefully, your delivery will be better the the 1st pitch you threw out in the post season last month. good luck with that.

Time to retire curt. Ride off into the sunset.

Sounds like another pro-athlete whose major league ego wont allow him to gracefully retire!!
