Burrell market
The market for Pat Burrell may be slow to develop, as teams weigh their offseason desires. Though Manny Ramirez and Burrell aren't in the same free-agent class, they do play the same position, so teams may want to see where he ends first before turning to Burrell.
Jermaine Dye's situation with the White Sox could also have an effect, since he could be dealt to a team that may also have pursued Burrell.
The Phillies, who have prioritized pitching, have spoken with Burrell's agents, but not about anything serious. Other teams have also inquired.
"Interest has been expressed and right now we are in a waiting game that everybody is in," Ed Hayes, one of Burrell's agents, told the Philadelphia Daily News. -- Ken Mandel

Pat Burrell should go to the Cardinals. He'd give them another bat in the middle of that line-up to not only protect Pujols, but take pressure off Glaus and Ludwick. I know they have a lot of depth in the outfield, but look what outfield depth did for the Red Sox.
